ABOUT

OGEF is an investment fund whose mission is to contribute to the energy transformation of Haiti by electrifying at least 200,000 homes and businesses within 10 years. To achieve this goal, OGEF invests in sustainable off-grid electricity companies operating from renewable energy sources.

OGEF is co-managed by the Fonds de Développement Industrie and Bamboo Capital Partners, combining expertise in the Haitian market with international best practices in electricity access investment.

MINISTÈRE DES TRAVAUX PUBLICS, TRANSPORTS ET COMMUNICATIONS Established in 2012, the Energy Unit supports the MTPTC in energy sector development and is composed of experts in energy access and renewable energy development, environmental and social safeguards, and gender.
WORLD BANK With 189 member countries, the WBG is a unique global partnership: five institutions working for sustainable solutions that reduce poverty and build shared prosperity in developing countries. The WBG is committed to helping countries reach universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy (SDG 7) - central to efforts to tackle climate change. In Haiti, the WBG supports energy access through two projects of US$35 million financed by the SREP and the CTF, and one Additional Financing of US$6.9 million financed by IDA and the ESMAP Trust Fund. These projects aim to scale up renewable energy investments to expand and improve access to electricity for health infrastructure, households, businesses, and community services.
